Upcycling Business

Offcuts generated at glass processing sites are disposed of as industrial waste. To reduce such waste, we are taking a creative approach to reusing glass waste to produce accessories and more. That is how the original accessory brand “tubunone” was born.

Inspired by Ideas from our Female Employees

The trigger for business development was ideas raised by our female employees: “We want to make the most of what we already have to create something new.”

From product planning, design, and production to sales, our employees themselves generate ideas and take the lead.

Upcycling Glass Scrap

Glass offcuts are produced in large quantities when processing glass. By melting them down and reshaping them into accessories and everyday goods, we can significantly reduce the volume of industrial waste.

Expressing Shinshu’s Four Seasons through Glasswork

Thin ice on the surface of water, droplets forming along the tips of twigs, clover, acorns…

All tubunone pieces are inspired by natural scenes found throughout Shinshu, the home of Kisokoma Micro.

Through manufacturing, we also aim to widely showcase the appeal of the region.

Giving Back to the Community

In addition to selling items through our online shop and local accessory stores, we are active in setting up booths at events held throughout the community.
A portion of accessory sales is donated to local governments for environmental conservation efforts, and we are also developing new collaborative products with Kiso’s traditional crafts.
